Limited Edition: "Bubble: Octopus" Art Print
Imagine the warm waters of the south Pacific. There are tiny little coral heads growing all over the exterior of the WW2 Japanese shipwreck - the Rio de Janeiro Maru. As I was hanging on my decompression stops after a fantastic scuba dive, I was treated to an octopus jumping from coral to coral. It changed colours from yellow, to blue green, and back again to yellow as it swam with its arms trailing behind it. I was mesmerized by how fluid and simultaneously awkward it looked as it flew through the water. It was the first time I had ever seen a wonderful octopus while on a dive.
Description: This colourful octopus is a reproduction of a mixed media drawing on paper. I used soft pastels and watercolour paint to create the original. Mostly in cool hues of blues, greens and purples, this drawing is for someone who loves fluid lines and textures and is a little on the modern side with the clean circle shape containing the drawing on white paper. This drawing is part of an original series of marine life creatures contained in graphic bubble shapes.
Enjoy this octopus art print on museum-quality, thick and durable matte paper.
